Summer Camp Opportunities
Distance Running Camp
Becoming a great distance runner takes more than just mileage. True 2 Form has designed this camp to be more than just run, run, run. We teach you technique, skill, proper training, nutrition and other tools to improve efficiency and decrease stress on your body. By doing so, your body will body will be able to withstand the demands of long-distance running with ease. This is a perfect way to prepare for the upcoming race season. RPM Speed Camp
Camp details:
- Each day will be a mix of running/training, education, learning and practicing drills to improve form, strength, coordination, footwork, balance and stability
- Will be hard work, challenging, and fun
- Focus on technique and not conditioning
Objectives:
- Become faster
- Learn proper technique and running form
- Master drills to improve coordination, speed, and mobility
- Practice skills to stabilize and coordinate your body which will prevent injury
- What to bring/wear:
- Comfortable workout clothes
- Running shoes
- Water bottle, towel
- Work ethic
- Target age = middle – high school (co-ed)
Youth Athlete Development Camp
Camp details:
- Camp session is 3 days – 2.5 hours per day (note time slots differ between sessions)
- Each day will be a combination of skill/movement drills, games and activities to test those skills, relay races, competitions, and intermittent rest and reflection
- Healthy snack provided
- Objectives
- Master fundamental athletic skills
- Build strength, stability, balance, coordination
- Injury prevention
- Fun and activity
- What to bring/wear
- Comfortable athletic clothes and shoe gear
- Water bottle
- Energy & enthusiasm
- Target age = entering in the fall grades 1-5 (co-ed)
